Closed cell foam rubber processing for boating, outdoor cushions for boats, swimming pools and all other compatible uses. It is possible to deliver closed cell foam rubber sheets measuring 200 by 100 cm and from an initial thickness of 1 cm up to greater thicknesses according to your request.

Closed Cell Nautical Foam is a type of foam specifically designed for nautical applications. Made of high density polyethylene foam, it offers good resistance to water and weather conditions. It can be made to measure and is water repellent, does not absorb water and is able to float if dropped into the water. It therefore offers a professional solution for external boat cushions.

Characteristics and composition

Contrary to what the name might suggest, foam rubber does not derive from rubber, but belongs to the polyurethane family, and is obtained by mixing in appropriate proportions toluene diisocyanate (or TDI), polyols, silicones, catalysts, liquid expanding agents and additives of various kinds, used to give particular characteristics to the finished product (flame retardants, binders, colorants). Foam rubber is widely used for countless purposes: as a sound absorber for acoustic correction, for padding mattresses, sofas, packaging, sponges, and others. Over time, it has replaced the natural materials that were used in ancient times such as wool, straw, feather.

Sustainability

THE fabrics they expanded of our products meet the non-toxicity requirements Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and do not contain CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons).

Dimensions

The slabs are 200 x 100 cm and have a variable thickness from 1 to 10 cm.
